Company profile
Posco Future M Co. Ltd., formerly known as POSCO Refractories & Environment Co., Ltd., was established in 1963 and is headquartered in Pohang, South Korea. The company specializes in the manufacturing and sale of refractory materials—including magnesia carbon, magnesia, chrome‑magnesia, spinel, alumina, fire clay, and insulating fire bricks—as well as unshaped refractories such as spray materials, stamp mass products, tundish coating materials, mortar, and miscellaneous items. It also produces magnesia clinker.
The firm provides services related to steel mill furnaces, including construction, installation, maintenance, design, and engineering of industrial furnaces. Environmental products supplied by the company include non‑toxic, non‑halogen magnesium hydroxide flame retardants, burned lime for steelmaking, chemical, construction, soil‑stabilization, and disinfectant applications, along with general chemicals and carbon materials such as coal tar, crude light oil, sulfur, and ammonium sulfate.
